This circular route explores the hills above Lanjarón and follows the Río Lanjarón and the Acequia Mezquerina. The walk is 15.9km long, has an elevation of 834m and takes about 6 hours to complete. The route requires a good level of physical fitness.

LONG DESCRIPTION

This spectacular circular route starts in the town of Lanjarón and follows the the PR-A 34 trail to the Refugio de Tello. The return route follows the PR-CERECILLO MEZQUERINA trail, joining up with the PR-A345 to circle Lanjarón and ending with a visit to the Castillo de Lanjarón. We circle round the Río Lanjarón valley, with a steep uphill trek to a height of 1,480 metres. We then begin our descent along the Lanjarón-Refugio Ventura trail to the Acequia Mezquerina, which we follow down to the Camino del Mimbrón. There is then a steep descent as we make our way back down to Lanjarón.
